Temperament
The Shih Tzu is an attentive, attentive, little dog. It is joyous and hardy, and crammed with feature. The gentle, loyal Shih Tzu makes associates effortlessly and answers well to reliable, patient teaching. It makes a very attentive watchdog. It is courageous and clever. Playful and spunky, this affectionate little dog likes to be with persons and is usually good with other pets. Some can be tough to housebreak. The Shih Tzu desires all of the humans in the dwelling to be load leaders, with the rules of the dwelling made consistently clear. Owners who permit their canines to take over may find them to be snappish if they are shocked or peeved. Because of this dog’s little size and its adorable face, it routinely evolves little Dog Syndrome, human induced behaviors where the dog accepts as true he is the overseer of humans. This causes a varying degree of behavioral issues, such as, but not limited to parting disquiet, defending, growling, snapping, and even biting. These canines may become untrustworthy with children and occasionally adults, as they try and notify the humans what THEY want THEM to do. They will be obstinate as they take their stand and fight back their peak place in the pack. They may bark obsessively as they try and TELL you what they desire. These behaviors are NOT Shih Tzu traits, but rather behaviors brought on by the way they are treated by persons round them. Give this dog rules and bounds as to what it is and is not allowed to do. Be its firm, steady, reliable pack leader. Take it for every day load strolls to set alight mental and physical power. Its temperament will improve for the better, and you will convey out the sugary, dependable dog in it.
